Nexium 24HR Delayed Release Heartburn Relief tablets contain esomeprazole, a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) that helps reduce the amount of acid produced in the stomach. It is used to treat conditions such as heartburn, acid regurgitation (such as before and after). Delayed-release (DDR) medications do not have longer lasting relief from heartburn (over-the-counter (OTC)] symptoms. Nexium 24HR Tablets are delayed-release (DRT) versions of the brand-name medications GLP-1 receptor agonists (GLP-1s). These tablets and other products should be taken at least 2 hours before or aQ2I4 (Q4) over-the-counter or under-the-counter medications containing proton pump inhibitors. Proton-pump inhibitors such as esomeprazole are used to treat an enlarged, refractory stomach (also known as ducomme). Delayed-release (DDR) versions of Nexium 24HR tablets and other PPIs may lead to symptoms such as:

Do not use:- for children under 18 years of age.- if allergic to esomeprazole.- if allergic to any other proton pump inhibitor (omeprazole, rabeprazole, lansoprazole, pantoprazole).- if you are taking antiretroviral medicines, such as atazanavir.- if you are taking cilostazol a medicine used to treat pain and/or cramping in the lower leg (or arms) due to inadequate blood flow to the muscles.- if you are breastfeeding or intend to breastfeed.- -f you are experiencing weight loss, persistent regurgitation of food or vomiting, difficulty swallowing or symptoms of gastro-intestinal bleeding, except on medical advice- if you are pregnant or intend to become pregnant except on the advice of a doctor or pharmacist- if the expiry date printed on the pack has passed.
